It's Remodel Time Again!!

Hi guys! There have been lots of exciting things going on keeping us busy, busy, busy.

With the bathroom remodels complete we have moved on to.................(dramatic DUM DUM DUM intro music).........our kitchen and living room.

This is a before pic to give you a fair idea of what we're up against.

We will be changing out the cabinets, floors and windows, taking out walls, and enclosing a lanai (which will give us a bigger living room area).

Here is a pic of the demo we've done so far.

We are doing most of the work ourselves. Which means the bf is doing most of the labor and I am in charge of buying everything we need and keeping everything on schedule. Yikes!!

At this point, all of the cabinets are empty and we are living out of boxes. All of our food and dishes are boxed up and randomly strewn around our mess of a kitchen/dining area.
I am sending my kids to summer fun everyday with enough snacks to feed an army in a feeble attempt to get rid of some of this damn food, lol!
Our plan is to have the kitchen completely empty and bare by next week. That is when our contractor will come to add more crazy, disorganized madness to our lives. Yay (sarcasm @ its finest)!
But, I know, deep deep deep down in my heart, that it will all be over soon........I hope!

Under construction,
XoXo

Cinco De Mayo= MARGARITAS!!

Ooooh, how I love a good margarita!!

When I'm @ home, I'll stick to a traditional, on the rocks, margie. But when I go out, I like to have blended, flavored (strawberry or mango) ones.

And yet, there are so many other things in life that capture the yummy essence of a good margarita..........

These are a margarita inspired pair of earrings from my Zaia jewelry collection.

They are made of painted light green wood flower focals and coral swarovski crystallized pearls.
And remember: all Zaia earrings are hypoallergenic :)

Next on the margarita inspired list, we have a beautiful photo that I would love to hang in my dressing room/walk in closet- if I had one, lol.

After a long, hard day @ work, I can see myself sitting on my stiletto stool, taking off my heels of the day, breathing a sigh of relief, and smiling at the thought of a summer picnic with friends, and an ice cold margarita in my hand.

Dress attire:casual.............

I love this shirt! I would totally buy this for my mom, who is a fellow margaritaholic, but I would change the shirt color to magenta, to make it more girlie.
Luv u mom!!

So I did a post a while ago and one of the items I featured was a "cake pop". Basically it's a single serving of cake on a stick that looks uber cool and chic.
And even though I have yet to actually have one.............I am in love with them.

Which is why I have just about died and gone to heaven with these margarita flavored (and yes they have alcohol) cake pops. Ahhhhhhhhhhhh!!

This is definetely on my "to order" list!! Not only are they super cute, they are sure to be super duper yummy!!

And if you haven't got enough margarita running through your system yet....you can always go home and smell like you do.....in a good way ;)

Margarita conditioner!! Is that with or without a salt rim?

Just joking!

I love the packaging! Super cute! This is one of those "perfect gift" items that your friends are sure to love!

To finding your perfect drink,

XoXo

My Luvs

Today is my big boy's birthday.........5 years old!!

I can't believe how the time has flown by. All of my kids are getting so big so fast. :(

It's bitter sweet for all mama's. I love seeing how my kids mature and develop and do amazing things, but at the same time, I miss my babies!!

I have to steal hugs & kisses whenever I can from my "big boys". And it seems like my wallet is stuck in a constant state of open, lol.

So, I have to indulge in little pleasures for myself whenever I can............like doing my nails :) YAY!

So, I've been doing "gel" nails for about 3 months, and I LOVE IT!! The pros are: I can go about three weeks before I need to get them done again. They don't chip or flake. They grow out from the bottom just like acrylics. They aren't costly at all! It's pretty much the same price as getting a regular manicure. And they are absolutely cement dry by the time you leave the salon.......dbl yay!! So, if you're like me, and always end up dragging your kid with you to do your nails, you don't have to worry about smudging them after. There are loads of colors to choose from, or you can do french tips. They look gorgeous!! I love them! (Oh wait, I already said that, lol) **FYI- I hate doing my own nails. I never have the time to do it and I totally suck at it and end up painting half my hand in the process.** The cons are: When you go in to change your color, the removal process is totally funky. They wrap your nail in a gel polish remover soaked cotton ball and foil and let you sit for like 5-10 minutes. So you look totally funky with foil witch nails for a bit. Then they literally scrape the old gel polish off. Which kind of freaked me out the first time. I mean, it doesn't hurt, and they aren't doing it roughly, but it sure threw me for a loop. And it takes a loooooong time. You have to put your nails in the gel drying machine over and over again. So, it takes about an hour. When I do a pedi on the same visit, I am there for a good 2 hours and then some. But, it's the sacrifices we make to look good right? All and all, I totally love the gel polish and I am going to stick with it for a while. Super sleek and polished, XoXo

Springtime Bliss and New Earrings

Hi all! It has been ages since I've posted anything new, as seems to be my pattern. But, I have for you today some cheery goodness to help welcome this Spring season.
Spring always reminds me of Easter and those super huge chocolate easter bunnies that I would pray for when I was little.
But now that I'm all growed up with kiddos of my own, my easter basket goodies have changed to things a little more pricey.............but I do still love chocolate :)
Here are a new pair of earrings that personify Spring, and I have just posted them on Etsy.

They are dainty and colorful, and I love the way the gold sparkles. Thinking of Spring I think of pinks and purples and yellows and golds. So, I wanted to create something that when you looked at it, your first thought would be of Spring and sunshine and flowers. And here it is!

And to keep with the theme........

These super cute cake lollipops scream spring with their bright pastel colors and yummy looking goodness. Perfect for party favors or as a special treats for your kiddos!

And as a special treat for you, we have..............

http://www.etsy.com/listing/61130263/clutch-purse-contemporary-flower-power?ref=sr_list_28&ga_search_query=flowers&ga_search_type=all&ga_facet=

Classic and elegant yet fun and cheerful, this blooming clutch will add the perfect finishing touch to your outfit. It also has red lining on the inside, which I love!

And speaking of red..........

BAM!! I absolutely adore this simple, yet bold scarf. It can be worn numerous ways and looks as soft as clouds.
While we're in the sky, we can look for some butterflies.....

Butterflies are one of my favorite things to watch. So fragile and beautiful. I would love to hang this on my wall right above my jewelry box. A butterfly of my own that I can keep forever.
Hope you enjoyed!
With a spring in my step,
XoXo
